After failing to help her sister run away with a princess, Magda is captured and forced to go on a quest to retrieve the legendary fern flower for the man who murdered her sister. Kostya, a dangerous and powerful Mage, accompanies her, acting as both her captor and protector. He is a constant reminder of all she has lost, and soon, Magda’s sadness turns into anger as she secretly vows to take her revenge. Kostya has secrets of his own—one that explains his undying loyalty to the prince, despite his cruelty.
